TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES REVEALS 2015 RACING PLANS AND ANNOUNCES RACING PARTNERS PURCHASE PROGRAM

ATLANTA (March 20, 2015) – In 2015, Triumph Motorcycles America’s racing presence will span AMA Pro Flat Track, MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Series and Canadian Superbike Championship. With Castrol as the primary partner, Triumph’s race teams will also receive support from FreedomRoad Financial and GE Capital.

“Triumph’s racing heritage is entrenched with victories and championships. We hope to build on the successes our teams achieved last season,” said Matt Sheahan, COO of Triumph Motorcycles America. “Our team owners have worked hard to put together a strong lineup of bikes and determined riders to help reclaim that history in both the U.S. and Canada. Our racing achievements would be not possible without Castrol on board as our long-time OEM partner.”

In the AMA Pro Flat Track’s Grand National Expert Twins class, two top 10 riders from 2014 join the Triumph contingent. Brandon Robinson will compete on the #44 Latus Motors Racing / Castrol / Triumph. Robinson finished eighth in last year’s points championship and notched multiple race wins in 2013. Jake Shoemaker will ride the #55 Bonneville Performance / Castrol / Triumph. In 2014, Shoemaker earned two podium finishes to place tenth overall as a privateer rider and received the 2013 Saddlemen Rookie of the Year award.

Competing in the Supersport class in the new MotoAmerica AMA/FIM Road Racing Series, Bobby Fong returns to Latus Motors Racing to pilot the #50 Castrol / Triumph Daytona 675R. Fong finished on the podium at Barber Motorsports Park last year and won the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Pro Sportbike round at Auto Club Speedway.

With support from GE Capital, Kenny Riedmann will defend his 2014 Canadian Pro Sport Bike championship — Triumph’s first Canadian championship ever — on his #1 plated Triumph Daytona 675R. Riedmann enjoyed an outstanding season with two wins and four podiums over the five-round championship. In 2015, Riedmann will also participate in the U.S.-based MotoAmerica series on a limited schedule.

Additionally, Triumph is pleased to announce its Racing Partners Purchase Program, offering teams and riders the ability to purchase race bikes and parts at a reduced price for participation in any national amateur or professionally sanctioned race series. The program also includes complimentary oil product from Castrol. For further details or to submit a request for review, please contact Steve Bidlack at [email protected].
