AZ’s New Podium Club Now Accepting Race and Testing Reservations

The Podium Club at Attesa, featuring a 2.32-mile, 15-turn, paved road course, is now open in central Arizona, just south of Phoenix, only minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“We actually opened in late December, and we have been testing our systems and building our infrastructure over the past few months,” said Dan Erickson, Managing Member.  “We’ve got some big construction projects coming this summer and fall but as of today we’re operational and ready to host private events, testing, media events and car and motorcycle races.”

Primarily a membership track, operating like a private golf course or tennis club, the circuit was co-designed by racer, high performance driving instructor and Podium Club business development manager Tim Rose and the United Kingdom’s Apex Circuit Design Ltd.

“It was a fun project,” said Rose.  “Our canvas was about 500 acres of level farmland.  We created a layout with banking, elevation changes, some really challenging turns and esses, and more than a few passing zones.  Then we turned it over to Apex.”

Apex Circuit Design is an FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) approved engineering firm that builds racetracks, driver experience centers and manufacturer testing facilities to meet the highest safety and efficiency standards.  The company has been working with Attesa since 2015 on the development’s planned racetracks and testing circuits.  Its latest engagement was the design of the Miami Formula 1 circuit.

“We plan on eventually having some races that will require FIA and FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) compliance,” added Erickson, “so we did it right the first time.  Our track has lots of runoff area and gravel traps, and zero exposed metal barriers where riders and drivers could run into them and really tear up their vehicles — or worse.”

The Podium Club is open every day except Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the track going ‘hot’ at 10.  When the weather changes the hours of operation will also, as Attesa’s zoning allows for track activity 24/7/365 with a 120 dB sound limit at the property line.  Lights are in the plans to allow night racing and round-the-clock testing activities.

Podium Club is the keystone project at Attesa, a 2350-acre multi-use community 50 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.  The master planned real estate development will eventually include residential, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and industrial districts, plus an RV resort, private FBO airport and air park.

The Podium Club at Attesa is located at 6870 S. Bianco Road, Casa Grande, AZ 85193.  For more information visit podiumclub.com or call (480) 702-1074 to reach the track, or 602-707-7222 for all other inquiries.
