KENNEDY SETS SIGHTS ON GLORY AS RIVALS PREPARE TO CLOSE THE GAP Jack Kennedy arrives at the sixth round of the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship protected by Datatag at Oulton Park this weekend (6-7-8 July) leading the title standings, but with Australian Glen Richards closing in following the previous round the Mar-Train Yamaha rider is determined to maintain his position. Kennedy has clocked up an impressive run of seven podium finishes but the Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Triumph’s of Glen Richards and Billy McConnell shared the spoils in Scotland and are eager for a repeat performance in Cheshire. Seton Tuning Yamaha’s Sam Warren lies fourth in the standings and is eager to make amends for crashing out at Knockhill, whilst Ben Wilson knows he needs to score his first win of his campaign to get his title ambition back on track. Kennedy said: “I am really happy with how the season has gone so far and looking ahead to this weekend I feel confident that we can have another good weekend. I got mugged of the win in the feature race last time we were there but I had been leading up until the last lap. I think we should be up there no matter what and with Glen closing in at Knockhill even though we had two podiums we need to keep ahead again this weekend.” For more information please visit www.britishsuperbike.com More, from a press release Shannon Moham’s publicist: 7 Wins at Pueblo for MRA Racer Shannon Moham! The MRA held Round 4 of their race season at the newly paved Pueblo Motorsports Park in Pueblo, Colorado this past weekend. With temperatures in the 100’s, racers and spectators alike knew it was going to be a tough weekend to get through. That didn’t stop Shannon Moham from pulling off yet another stellar weekend, something we are all getting used to seeing. Another 7 wins pushes Moham past an almost 30 race win season. Saturday started the race weekend with temps over 100 degrees. Moham was able to hang on to his winning streak in his first race, Lightweight GP. The heat didn’t seem to phase Moham though, as he continued on to finish first in back to back Lightweight and Heavyweight Endurance races. Moham stated, “I couldn’t even believe how hot it was out there. I’d like to thank the MRA corner workers and crew for hanging with us and pushing through the day”. Moham also noted that his Dunlop tires were, “incredible, as usual. We are so impressed with the tire and so happy to be a part of the Dunlop team this year. I really think that the tire is making a huge contribution to my race wins and Dunlop rep Steve Mills has been an unbelievable help in the pits”. Sunday proved to be yet another challenge, with temperatures soaring again well over 100 degrees. Moham had 6 races on his billet for the day, not a small feat considering the race conditions. Starting his day battling against the big boys in STGTO, Moham, on his SV650, was able to finish 3rd behind fellow racer Pat Lansu’s Ducati Panigale. 2 subsequent races, making 3 total back to back, saw Moham bringing home a second place in Modern Vintage GTU and another first place on his R6 in Middleweight Superbike. Lunchtime provided a much-needed cool down break, but Moham put the hammer down as soon as the race day started back up. Race of the Rockies, the MRA’s premier class, saw Moham finishing #1, in ROR U. With only one race between his last 2 back to back, Moham made sure his fuel and bikes stayed cool in the hot sun. Moham noted, “Renegade fuel is the way to go. I use SX4 Plus and it makes a huge difference in the bikes”. Taking the track for his last 2 races of the day, Moham dominated in both Supertwins GTU and Heavyweight Superbike, taking first in both. “I really have to give credit where credit it due,” Moham stated. “Race tech has given me such incredible suspension and shocks and Dunlop puts the best tires out there. I want to thank Woodcraft for sending me their new endurance knee pucks for this weekend. They worked great and definitely allowed me to race all my back to backs without having to change out pucks. With all the amazing products my sponsors provide, and the fact that the bikes are running great, I really feel like I’m on top of my game”! Moham has a few weeks to rest up, but his plate is going to be quite full in that off time. He’s happy to say that he and his wife are expecting their second child and his wife granted his one request, no delivery on a race weekend! Baby number two is scheduled to arrive July 16th. Look for Moham and his entire family at the next race weekend, July 28th and 29th at Highplains Raceway in Byers, Colorado. We look forward to seeing this impressive racer continue to rack up the race wins! Shannon Moham would like to thank the following incredible sponsors and support system: Nordic Nursing, Dunlop Tires, Race Tech, Renegade Fuel, Woodcraft, Vortex, GPR Stabilizer, Galfer, Lockhart Phillips, Silkolene, Ogio, Pit Bull, 35 Motorsports, Rex at Tri City Cycle, Vickery Motorsports, K&N, Bazzaz Performance, Motonation, Rocky Mountain Photo, Racing Batteries USA, Worldwide Bearings, Pit Posse, his wife Segren, daughter Denver, Mom, the Papajohns and the MRA corner workers.
