ERIC STUMP RETURNING TO ROAD RACING IN MOTOAMERICA SUPERSTOCK 600

Rising star Eric Stump will make his return to professional road racing in the MotoAmerica Superstock 600 class, aboard a Rabid Transit-sponsored Yamaha R6. The team’s infrastructure and crew will be provided by RSRacecraft; a highly regarded and respected outfit for many years in the paddock.

Eric Stump, Team Rider, commented: “I am stoked to be going road racing again. My main goal is to get out there and win the 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Championship!”

Stump’s last season of road racing was during 2013 in the previous regime AMA Pro Road Racing Series. Highlights from the season included a podium in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 Class at New Jersey Motorsports Park as well as multiple top-10 finishes aboard his Yamaha 600. In 2014 and 2015, Stump competed in the FIM North America Supermoto Championship, where he scored multiple podiums, along with finishing second in points overall for the 2015 championship. Stump also traveled to Belgium to compete in the prestigious Superbiker Mettet, a supermoto race featuring the best of the best in various disciplines of motorcycle racing.

Selby “Crash” Jones, Rabid Transit Owner, commented: “I believe I can speak for all team members when I say I’m excited about this project. For myself, this is the realization of a dream I had 35 years ago. Thanks to everyone involved, this dream has come true. Every member has had something valuable to contribute towards its development. Eric Stump, a friend I have known, personally, for several years, is a rising star. Some day he’s going to battling for a #1 plate, which could very well be this year, so keep your eyes open; we may just be going places in a hurry.”

Stay tuned for more information and updates from Team Rabid Transit on their MotoAmerica campaign as well as all of Stump’s racing endeavors.
