KUTV 2News in Salt Lake City, Utah, is reporting that Tooele County officials are planning to sell Miller Motorsports Park and the land it sits on to a Chinese automobile manufacturer called Geely Holding Group.

Tooele County Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the sale today, according to the report.

The 511-acre, $200-plus-million Miller Motorsport Park was conceived, developed and funded by Utah businessman and motorsports enthusiast Larry H. Miller, who passed away in 2009.

In May 2015, the Larry H. Miller Group of companies announced that it would shut down operations at Miller Motorsports Park at the end of the 2015 season and would not renew its land lease deal with Tooele County, essentially handing over Miller Motorsports Park to the county.

Many professional racing series have held events at Miller Motorsports Park, including the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North America Road Racing series.
