Race Results From The ZARS Shootout And Rider Challenge Event At Road America

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held its fifth round of the Shootout Championship and Rider Challenge Championships Series, July 12, at Elkhart Lake’s Road America. The Track Day and School was an action-packed day full with riders from across the country and Canada. With several Championships on the line, racers and riders battled for $1000 in cash and prizes. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded the top 3 finishers in each of the classes. In the Expert GP4, Jason Farrell dominated the field aboard the Farrell Performance Kawasaki ZX-10R. In a fierce battle for the rest of the podium, Cities Edge Motorsport rider Pat Stewart finished strong in 2nd and Mark Miller finished respectively in 3rd. In the Expert GP3, Farrell Performance rider Scott Stall took the win. In the Novice ranks, Brad Kreller dominated the field with James Michaelson and Scott Nelson rounding off the podium for the Novice GP3/4. Mike Knoll rode strong and landed another Novice GP1/2 win with a strong performance. ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. In the GP4, Chris Burns took the win aboard his Yamaha YZF-R6. In the GP3, a fierce battle ensued and Scott Masterton put on a stellar performance for the win with Ken Nielsen and Justin Brouwer rounding off the podium. In the GP1/2, Dave Pederson rode strong for an impressive victory. ZARS returns to Brainerd International Raceway on September 2. Additionally, riders can attend several Advanced Riding Schools held throughout the season in the Twin Cities.
