Pirelli Launches New “Pirelli Nation” Bonus Program For 2018 Road Racing Season

Thousands of Dollars up for Grabs for Riders’ Using Pirelli Race Compound Tires in Their Respective Regions

ROME, Ga. – Pirelli Tire North America (Pirelli) announced today that it has introduced an all-new Pirelli Nation Bounty for the 2018 racing season that will unite a competitive racing spirit amongst Pirelli Nation riders across select classes at all major racing series’ throughout the United States. The Pirelli Nation Bounty was created to form a unique competition between riders’ in each respective region, with minimal expenses, and the opportunity to receive a reward and bragging rights for their efforts. All racers competing with Pirelli race compound tires are encouraged to participate.

“The Pirelli Nation Bounty is an all-new program that we’re excited to introduce,” said Oscar Solis, road racing manager, Pirelli. “The goal was to bring out the competitive nature in each respective region across the nation, but keep it friendly and fun at the same time. Designed to give back to Pirelli riders’ who trust the performance of our products, we’ve put together an award structure that we believe will keep riders’ pushing the limit, regardless of where they reside.”

A $3,500 prize will be up for grabs and awarded to the winner of the 1000cc class, while the 600cc class receives $1,750, and $750 for the 300cc class. The rewards will be paid in the form of a tire voucher that can be claimed at a chosen vendor and used towards the 2019 racing season.

The nation will be divided into six regions including the Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast and a wildcard region comprised of national events. Riders’ competing in the 300cc, 600cc, and 1000cc classes must place inside of the top five in select classes in order to earn points that go into a regional bucket. A unique point system will reward those that enter and finish in higher attendance rounds, however, every participating race series is eligible for point contributions. Riders’ have the ability to earn points if they finish in the top five positions and the rider with the most points at the end of their regional series’ will be deemed the winner.

The registration deadline is May 1, 2018 and no other entries will be accepted after this date.
