Pets Named After Famous…Racetracks? Part 69: JP The Dog

Travis Richards of Pace, Florida sent in these photos, with a note: “I know this is a bit different but we have a rescue dog that kinda fits the bill. We got ‘JP’ from the Jennings GP lunch guy (Dennis) about two years ago. He had found a small litter of puppies out in a barn somewhere that needed adoption right away. My then-six-year-old fell in love with JP over the weekend we were there and by Sunday we had ourselves a new puppy! “JP stands for Jennings Puppy. He was named by his owner, Brogan Richards (son of Travis and Carol Richards). “JP sleeps this way half the time–dreaming of T3 at Jennings no doubt!” Do you have a pet named after a famous racer, or know someone else who has a pet named after a famous racer? Send an in-focus pet photo (as a jpeg file) along with the name of the pet, the name of their human or humans, and their hometown, to [email protected] .
