Allentown, PA – AMA, WERA and CCS racer Blake Kelly will be featured in upcoming episodes of Discovery HD Theater’s new series, Cafe Racer. The series, which will air its premier episode on December 29 at 9:30 PM EST on Discovery HD Theater, will chronicle the Cafe Racer scene and feature rare and historical film footage, interviews with prominent Cafe Racer builders and personalities, and event coverage all while showcasing Cafe Racer race and street bikes and the Cafe Racer lifestyle in stunning high-definition. The 25-year-old Kelly has also been featured in Cafe Society, a 60 minute documentary on the men, the machines and the legend of the Cafe Racer as well as the bi-monthly international publication that inspired the TV series, Cafe Racer Magazine. “The whole process has been a pretty amazing learning experience,” said the Pittsburgh native of his involvement with Cafe Racer. “Test riding different Cafe Racer motorcycles gives me a unique perspective on how to ride a variety of motorcycles with very different motors and suspensions compared to what I’m used to. Some of them are definitely a lot different than my race bike, but a lot of them handle surprisingly well. There’s a pretty steep learning curve, but if it has two wheels and a motor, I want to go fast on it.” Motorcycle enthusiasts can catch Kelly in action on Cafe Racer on Tuesday, December 29 at 9:30 PM on the Discovery HD Theater Network. Check your local HD TV listings for air times in your area of upcoming episodes of Cafe Racer. In addition to his involvement in Cafe Racer, Kelly is also preparing for the 2010 race season when he will participate in select WERA, CCS and AMA events on his Metric Devil Moto and MDM Racing Yamaha R6. The Allentown, PA-based team is currently finalizing their 2010 sponsorship deals, but interested sponsors can still contact crew chief Mike Faillace at Metric Devil Moto at [email protected] for more information on how to become involved in Kelly’s 2010 racing season.
