(June 29, 2009) – The new Red Flag Fund has officially incorporated and announced its board of directors. Former racer Brian McLaughlin and his wife Kathleen will lead the fund with support from board members Alexa Krueger, Claudia Ritger, Jane Stiles and Don Elfstrom. Krueger is a former board member of the original Red Flag Fund, former racer and current owner of Spyder Leatherworks. Ritger has worked as a Championship Cup Series race official for 20 years. Her late husband Bill was a board member of the original Red Flag Fund and founder of the Midwest Safety Crew. Stiles is the co-owner of Team Stiles Racing. And Elfstrom is a former national and regional CCS champion and a managing member of the Christian Sport Bike Racing Team. “We’ve made great progress in resurrecting the Red Flag Fund and I’m really pleased with the experience, dedication and passion found on our board of directors,” said McLaughlin. “We still have to work out a few more details, including getting our official 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS, but we plan to be up and running by late this year.”
