Camp Pendleton, CA – September 27, 2024 – MV Agusta made a special visit to Camp Pendleton on Saturday, September 21 to donate the iconic, special edition, Dragster RR SCS America to the base. This event marks a start of great partnership between the iconic Italian Motorcycle Art brand and the Marine Corps. The donation was part of a special giveaway open to all active service members stationed on base. MV Agusta is thrilled to support the men and women involved in the military and donating a motorcycle was a gesture of appreciation to those who serve. The motorcycle was on display inside the Pacific Views MCX for one week leading up to the giveaway, allowing military members to see the bike and enter the draw for their chance to win. The giveaway stirred up a lot of excitement and attention on base with over 1,800 hopeful entries.

The Dragster America was specifically picked for this donation due to its unique backstory. The special-edition America model pays homage to the 1973 MV Agusta 750 Sport America, all while celebrating the 50th anniversary. The bold red, white, and blue design plays tribute to the spirit of the United States of America, being freedom, bravery, and patriotism. This special edition also showcases the strong bond MV Agusta has had with the country during the last 50 years. This bike presents itself as the perfect gift to the brave heroes serving.

The event was held in front of the Pacific Views MCX store where the iconic Dragster America was on display along with a few other rider favorite machines like the RUSH Mamba and F3 RR. Throughout the event, many military members passed by sharing motorcycle stories, learning more about the brand, while eagerly anticipating the giveaway drawing of the name. When the time came to draw the winner, Luca Dovesi, General Manager of MV Agusta North America expressed his gratitude to the service members and talked a bit about the giveaway model. “The Dragster America is not just a Motorcycle–it’s a tribute to the bond between Italy and the United States, and to the military, all who symbolize strength, loyalty and freedom”, said Dovesi.

In the giveaway drawing, Cpl. Kimo Malott was the lucky service member called. We are excited to induct Malott into the MV Agusta family and thrilled a dedicated member of the U.S. Marine Corp will be riding our beautiful machine that represents the true meaning of being American.
