The results are in from the AMA Pro Road Racing food drive at NOLA Motorsports Park. We raised 149 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank. On the Wednesday before racing three riders — Josh Hayes, Melissa Paris and Colter Dimick — assisted M1 PowerSports staffers, Danielle Teal, food bank staff and myself in preparing 1127 meals for disadvantaged children in a local New Orleans after-school center. Given the speed represented in the room, it only took us two and a half hours. Thanks to all who participated in working at the Food Bank and for all who contributed food. We shall do this again next season!
