MRA Continues to Expand One of Its Most Exciting Classes, Production Cup Denver, CO. February 20, 2013 accommodate Two new displacement classifications have been added to the Production Cup Class for 2013. In their pursuit to provide low cost and highly competitive spec class racing, the MRA is excited to announce that it has expanded the Production Cup Class to now include motorcycles with displacement up to 400cc and 500cc. The class will be a single race with the three displacement classes gridded together and scored separately. The class will also continue as a doubleheader at every round in the MRA 2013 season. With several manufacturers developing and releasing smaller engine based motorcycles for 2013 and 2014, the MRA felt strongly that there should be a place for them to race that is true to the tradition of affordable spec class racing. Combined with the great success they have had with the Production 250cc Cup, the MRA believes that this new structure will strengthen the grids and allow new riders to participate in the class that may have been previously discouraged due to physical size or competitiveness. Since its creation, the Production 250 Cup has proven to be some of the most exciting racing to watch in the MRA with its intense action. With the grids for the class growing every season, the MRA was adamant about expanding the success of the class for the coming season. Details about the class changes can be found in the 2013 MRA Rulebook which is available on the MRA forums. The MRA has a few opportunities left to become an MRA Class, Event, and Series Sponsor for 2013. Contact MRA Rider Representative of Trophies-Sponsorship, Aaron Fisk at [email protected] or (303)909-3181 for more information. The MRA is dedicated to promoting safe and competitive motorcycle road racing events for enthusiasts in Colorado and the surrounding area.
