Motorcycling Australia Accepting Wild Card Applications For World Superbike And World Supersport Races At Phillip Island

Motorcycling Australia (MA) is now calling for applications from riders interested in competing in the 2009 World Superbike and Supersport Championships as a Wildcard entry at the Australian round. The Australian round will take place from 27 February to 1 March at Phillip Island with Wildcard entries closing COB Wednesday 21 January 2009. Application forms are available from the MA website at www.ma.org.au/2009wsbkwild and completed forms and supporting information should be sent to: Andrew Weiss Motorcycling Australia PO Box 134 South Melbourne VIC 3205 Fax: 03 9684 0555 Email: [email protected] This is an international event and rules of the World Superbike and Supersport Championships vary from National events; these rules can be obtained from www.fim.ch or by contacting MA. It is important to note that Wildcard riders are not permitted to compete in National Support Races at that event.
