MotoAmerica: Top Stock 1000 Riders Invited To Race In Superbike Class At Laguna Seca

MotoAmerica is inviting the top riders in the Stock 1000 class to enter as wild cards in EBC Brakes Superbike Race Two July 14 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, according to a Competitor Bulletin issued by MotoAmerica today.

The Stock 1000 class is only slated to race once at Laguna Seca, at the end of the day Saturday, July 13 during the combined MotoAmerica/World Superbike event.

Similar to what it did during the combined MotoAmerica/MotoGP event at Circuit of The Americas in April, MotoAmerica is inviting the top Stock 1000 racers to apply for wild card entries to compete in MotoAmerica Superbike Race Two on Sunday, July 14 at Laguna Seca.

According to the bulletin, this opportunity is only open to the riders who are currently in the top five in the Stock 1000 Championship point standings, which includes: Andrew Lee, Stefano Mesa, Michael Gilbert, Travis Wyman, and Geoff May.
