Several MotoAmerica Twins Cup competitors were forced to make last-minute changes during the 2019 MotoAmerica season-opening event April 5-7 at Road Atlanta when MotoAmerica Technical officials informed them that the Brembo front master cylinders fitted on their motorcycles had not been homologated by Brembo and therefore were not legal for use in the class, which otherwise runs under Superbike-style rules.

Today, MotoAmerica issued the following Technical Bulletin to address the issue:

All MotoAmerica Twins Cup Teams

Due to recent manufacturer interest in providing braking system components, MotoAmerica has decided to
reopen the manufacturer approval process between the dates of 4/15/2019 – 4/29/2019. Once the
approval process is complete there will be a 30-day waiting period to allow all competitors to procure the
newly approved braking systems. The 2019 FIM Approved list will be updated 4/29/2019 and the parts will
be legal for use at Round 4 Road America.

Until this process is complete competitors must still follow the current regulations in section 2.8.10.7.
