Championship point leader Avery Dreher earned provisional pole position during MotoAmerica Junior Cup Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. Riding his Bad Boys Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400, Dreher lapped the 2.36-mile, 15-turn road course in 1:35.940 to top the 31-rider field.

Alessandro Di Mario was second-best with a 1:36.409 on his Altus Motorsports Kawasaki, and Hayden Bicknese earned the final spot on the provision front row with a 1:36.420 on his Bicknese Racing Kawasaki.

The second and final qualifying session for the Junior Cup class is scheduled for 9:10 a.m. local time on Saturday.
