Plenty To Do And See For Fans Of All Ages

COSTA MESA, CA, APR. 1 – MotoAmerica has announced its expanded lineup of on- and off-track activities for fans during the Suzuki Superbike Shootout of Georgia at Road Atlanta, April 15-17, round two of the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship. The fan activity schedule is chock-full of interactive and entertaining experiences for fans of all ages, whether they are first-time attendees or seasoned race goers.

While MotoAmerica’s three days of world class wheel-to-wheel racing across five different classes is the main attraction of the weekend, the series has more in store for fans than just great racing. From autograph sessions, stunt shows and mini-moto exhibitions to a movie night at the track, there will be something for everyone.

“We want to bring each MotoAmerica fan an experience that will stay with them long after the race weekend is over,” said MotoAmerica partner Chuck Aksland. “Our events cover three days of racing and having plenty of exciting and fun things to do when there aren’t bikes on the track makes for an even better experience for the fans.”

The weekend begins on Thursday with a Kick-Off Party Bike Night at Hour Glass Cycles in Buford, Georgia, from 6 to 8 p.m. This event will include plenty of motorcycles, games and prizes and will also feature a stunt-riding exhibition by Aaron Twite. Festivities will continue with a Kick-Off After Party at the local Tilted Kilt restaurant, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Beginning on Friday and running through Sunday, fans at Road Atlanta can enjoy an open paddock where they will be able to get up close and personal with the teams, meet their favorite riders and have plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs. On all three days, Suzuki will be offering demo rides on its current motorcycles to riders meeting the requirements. For those looking for new gear, the Motorcycle-Superstore Aftermarket Expo will have plenty to offer with displays of the latest parts and accessories from leading manufacturers.

Thanks to the Christian Motorcycle Association, there will be a free helmet and gear check-in for anyone riding their motorcycles to the track.

There is a little bit of everything on two wheels going on at MotoAmerica events and that includes families. Mini-moto demonstrations (two each day) and motorcycle stunt show exhibitions by Aaron Twite (three each day) will take place throughout the weekend in the Fan Zone. Kids can also try the Strider bikes in the Family Fun & Strider Adventure Zone and both days will also feature live entertainment and autograph sessions. Roswell Bicycles will also have free demos of Scott mountain bikes. As a special treat, the track will be hosting a screening of “Hitting the Apex,” the MotoGP documentary, on the Jumbotron at turn 10A on Saturday at 6 p.m.

For fans looking for even more of an experience, MotoAmerica offers two special ticket levels that come with greater access to the weekend’s activities. Full Throttle ticket holders will have escorted hot-pit access during Superbike practice sessions on Friday and escorted grid access before each Superbike race on Sunday. Cycle Corral ticket holders will enjoy a track walk on Friday and will be able to ride their own motorcycles on the track in a parade lap on Saturday.

Admission for kids 12 and under is also free. For more information on ticket packages, visit www.MotoAmerica.com.
