Melissa Paris Raises Over $30,000 On Dark Horse Pros

Flagstaff, AZ: Melissa Paris, MotoAmerica Supersport Championship racer, raised $31,032 from 355 contributions through her crowdfunding campaign at https://www.darkhorsepros.com/campaigns/79 on Dark Horse Pros, online crowdfunding platform for action and extreme athletes.

After seeing several successes by other athletes on DHP’s crowdfunding platform and having a last-minute fallout of sponsorship money, Melissa Paris, sponsored by Dark Horse Pros, turned to her fans and other sponsors to bridge the funding gap so she can continue racing in the 2015 MotoAmerica race season.

Crowdfunding requires thoughtful preparation, strategic execution, and thorough follow-up. Paris did and is doing all of these things, allowing her to surpass her 30-day campaign goal.

“I was very nervous when we launched our campaign,” Paris stated. “Trying to raise $30,000 in just 30 days was a tall order, but I knew we had to try. Having the team at Dark Horse Pros to coach me through the process and offer advice on setting up and promoting my campaign was instrumental to our success. I never could have pulled it off on my own.”

DHP’s philosophy of creating a crowdfunding experience that offers valuable items and unique experiences to contributors creates a professional and compelling option to serious athletes that want to leverage their fan and sponsorship connections.

Paris’ rewards prove this to be true. Four contributors chose to enjoy a private ride day at the Paris-Hayes compound for $2,500 each. That’s $10,000 from four fans!

In response to her success, Paris remarked, “At the end of these thirty days, its very emotional for me to look at this long list of companies and people who have gotten behind me to keep me racing. It started with a ton of amazing sponsors who provided me with great rewards to offer to fans. But when I look at the list of people who have purchased these rewards, I am just awestruck … from fans to friends and family, competitors, business owners, and more. I am so inspired to work hard to make the most of the opportunity that all of these generous people have afforded me. I really feel like I have a huge army of supporters behind me now.”

Congratulations go to Melissa and her supporters for this incredible accomplishment! And many thanks to her sponsors that provided rewards: Drippin Wet, Vortex, Why We Ride, Silver Piston, Joe Rocket, RokForm, Maxima Racing Oils, MotionPro, as well as Vegas Off-Road Experience (VORE), a DHP partner.

Paris concludes, “I just really want to thank each and every person who contributed, whether that was by buying a reward or even just sharing our updates along the way. I couldn’t have done this without all of your support and love.”

Thanks to her successful campaign, Paris now has the funds to complete the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship season including races in Miller Motorsports Park, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and New Jersey Motorsports Park.
