The CCS/ASRA event scheduled at Daytona International Speedway for February 2010 has undergone a significant change, slimming down from its traditional four-day schedule to just three days. “Just like everybody else we realized that the financial situation isn’t great,” said CCS/ASRA boss Kevin Elliott. “The lower rider turnouts we’ve been seeing at Daytona and less AMA racing activity allowed us to trim the schedule from four to three days, which is good when you’re paying $150 to $200 per night for a hotel room.” The spring CCS/ASRA event has normally started with sign-in for pre-registered CCS/ASRA and Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Day/practice day participants on Wednesday, followed by more registration and the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Day/practice day on Thursday. This year registration and parking for CCS/ASRA and for the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Ride plus Team Hammer tech inspection will begin Thursday afternoon, February 25, and continue on Friday morning, February 26. The Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Ride/practice day will be held on Friday, February 26. Official CCS/ASRA practice sessions and races will be held only on Saturday and Sunday, February 27-28. For more information, go to www.ccsracing.us or www.teamhammer.com .
