Classic Racing Is Back and Smokin’ It Up!
luxeStar VIP Classic Racing Team Joins Team USA at AMCN Island Classic in January, 2016
Displays Classic TZ750 Racebikes with Yamaha YCRS at NJMP, September 12-13, 2015
luxeStar VIP llc is proud to announce the launch of its Classic Racing Team (CRT)! The CRT, featuring a trio of classic Yamaha TZ750 racebikes, will join Team USA at the AMCN International Island Classic at Phillip Island Gran Prix Circuit on January 23-25. The Team will compete in the International Challenge, which pits the top US riders against other countries for bragging rights as the fastest country in the world.
Lead Rider Nick Ienatsch will race on a Spondon-framed, highly modified TZ750 prepared by Crew Chief Rusty Bigley. Nick, long known for his success on the track, recently decimated the competition at the AHRMA Vintage Festival at NJMP in July on the Spondon TZ750. “This TZ is amazing, but our real plan is to lure the competition to sleep by entering an old grey-haired guy… then my teammates can sneak onto the podium!! Racing is all about strategy,” said Nick. Joining Nick on the track will be Team Principal Scott Rehl and MFactoryWest rider Mike Studzinski, supported by Crew Members Kurt Lentz and John Concklin.
For a special event to celebrate the launch, luxeStar VIP CRT will display its classic Yamaha racebikes at the Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS) garage on Saturday and Sunday Sept 12-13 during the final round of the 2015 FIM/AMA MotoAmerica Championship, at NJMP. Stop in to look over the racebikes, and be sure to listen for the PA announcement when the racebikes will be fired up so you can hear the scream and smell the smoke of classic racing!
As a special treat, YCRS and luxeStar VIP CRT will host the Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha and Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha raceteams at the YCRS garage at 9AM on Saturday for Coffee with the Champions meet and greet. Come see Josh Hayes, Cameron Beaubier, JD Beach and Garrett Gerloff and raise a mug to their MotoAmerica championships as Yamaha celebrates their 60th Anniversary.
