In light of the recent RoadRacingWorld.com article, the following is an official joint statement from LRRS and HJC; “It is NOT LRRS’ position to single out or ban HJC, or any particular helmet brand. We have concerns with plastic shell helmets, SNELL approved or not. We are currently investigating recent crashes involving plastic helmets.”” Jerry Wood (LRRS Safety Director). “HJC developed and introduced its AC Series to meet the needs of both road and dirt racing in 2000. Three model generations later, HJC continues to recommend the AC Series (fiberglass and/or carbon shell options) for racing purposes.” “” Steve Blakeney (HJC Product Development Coordinator)
