Brian Livengood of Snellville, GA was air-lifted by Emory Flight to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Friday afternoon following a single motorcycle accident at Road Atlanta during AMA Superbike qualifying.

The initial diagnosis was that Livengood suffered a concussion and the track trauma physician was “cautiously optimistic”. There were no immediately apparent bone fractures or breaks.

Livengood crashed in Turn 9 because of suspected tire failure, according to AMA officials.
