OMRRA hosted WMRRA at Portland International Raceway for the 5th round. When the two clubs come together, the grids are large with excellent close racing up and down the field. The weather was very accommodating with bright sun and warm track temperatures.
Ryan Sutton continued on his quest to win the title championships at both clubs with wins in Formula Ultra and Open Supersport on Saturday. Kevin Pinkstaff eked out a close win in Sunday’s Formula Ultra over Ryan. Kevin’s brother, Brian Pinkstaff, rounded out the podium.
With tight points in all championships and in the overall class standings, the August round is sure to be exciting. The August race is our Supercorn weekend with special Le Mans starts for the Vintage races, a bounty for lap records, and the famous Pit Bikes at Noon race!
