After injuries sustained in the WERA Natl. Endurance race at Barber Motorsports Park May 5th, Kern is recovering faster then doctors expected. Nate’s projected return will be at VIR in June for the next round of the ASRA Thunderbike series. Extensive physical therapy will have Kern in better shape for the remaining ASRA and MotoST rounds. “It was a freak accident that occured down the straight between T6 and T8 at Barber; I was told the bike just went into a violent tank slapper in a straight line” Kern said. “When I regained consciousness I was on the shoulder of I-20, being taken out of my ambulance that broke down and put into another one!” Kern said laughingly. Team BMW XPLOR and Nate Kern would like to thank all of the supporters during his recovery.
