Jimmy Storrar To Ride For Penz13.com BMW Racing At Isle Of Man TT

Penz13.com BMW Racing Team: Storrar to race Isle of Man TT for Penz13 BMW

Böhlen. The Line-Up of the Penz13.com BMW Racing Team for this year’s Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man has been finalized. The Saxony based squad already secured the services of Brit rider Simon Andrews and Canadian Dan Kruger, now another British Ace has signed to race for Rico Penzkofer’s squad: James “Jimmy” Storrar.

Scotsman Storrar celebrated his Isle of Man debut in the 2012 season and will head into his third year racing at the TT with the Penz team. He’ll be racing a BMW HP4 in the Superbike-, Superstock- and the prestigious Senior TT.
Storrar made is way up the leader board during his two years at the TT so far and got his personal best at least race he started there: during last year’s Senior TT he secured a 21st spot. He ranks as 8th fastest Newcomer of all time at the Isle of Man with his average speed of 122,185 mph during the TT2012.

Team and rider got in touch mainly during the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix where Storrar proved to be a fast and reliable Real Road Racer. During last year’s race in the Chinese player’s metropolis he took a 5th place finish in the race and got best BMW S 1000 RR rider – shortly behind TT legend John McGuinness and briefly in front of Penz13.com rider Jeremy Toye.

He is about to race his third year on the Isle of Man and already got faster and faster during the last years. Also his performances at the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix convinced us. We are sure he can have another step forward at the TT riding our bikes. He has the speed and the maturity to master the Mountain Course.”
