Jake Lewis Signs Two-Year AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Deal With Meen Motorsports

AMA Supersport East Division champion Jake Lewis signs two year deal with Meen Motorsports for 2013 Meen Motorsports is proud to announce its new rider, for the 2013 AMA season, young 2012 Supersport East Division champion Jake Lewis. Lewis will pilot the Meen team’s 2013 Yamaha YZF R6 in the AMA Daytona Sportbike series. The Meen Motorsports team had a great 2012 season with a total of 3 podium finishes and consistent top 5 results. His first year of pro road racing in the Supersport class, the then 16 year-old Lewis ended his 2012 season with 15 top 5 finishes, 1 pole position, 11 podiums and 3 wins, ultimately clenching the East Division title. Jake, now seventeen, states “I am really excited to join the Meen Motorsports team for the 2013 season, contending with one of the best teams in the AMA paddock. I am also very happy to be back on a Yamaha as I move on forward to the Daytona Sportbike class and welcome the challenges it will have for me. I will be training really hard during the off-season and will come ready to race at the Daytona 200 in March. Together, I believe the Meen Motorsports team and I will be a top competitor every weekend and I can’t wait to start testing.” Meen team owner Ameen Sajjadi comments, “I am extremely pleased to be working with Jake for the next couple of years. I was very impressed by Jake’s performance all last season.
