“The rear of the Yamaha YZF-R1 spun up as I gassed it out of Turn 11 and headed down the hill into Kyalami’s fast, sweeping, left-hand Mineshaft corner. It’s a fourth-gear turn that takes serious commitment to get though fast.
“I lightly squeezed the front brake to set the forks as I turned in, putting a ton of pressure on the front tire as I got to full lean. Then I picked up the gas and accelerated hard out of Mineshaft with the rear lit up.

Bridgestone has now released the fifth version of the S series tires that started with the S20 back in 2012. The latest iteration, the S23, has been fine tuned, featuring more tire life, better edge grip, and improved wet-weather performance.
