SONOMA, Calif. (Nov. 19, 2007) “” Community members can help ensure that all children in the Sonoma Valley have a merry Christmas this holiday season by donating toys for the 5th annual High-Powered Toy Drive at Infineon Raceway. All toys collected during the campaign will be distributed to more than 250 children at the raceway’s 3rd annual Race to the Holidays Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 15. “For many children who are less-fortunate, their holidays are not always merry and bright; but because of the generosity of the folks who donate to Infineon, there are a lot of children whose faces light up as they come away clutching wonderful, thoughtful gifts,” said Kathy Witkowicki, executive director of the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, which has participated in the Christmas party since its inception. “Every child deserves to feel special at Christmas.” The toy drive, which kicks off on Nov. 20, features a number of drop-off locations, for your convenience. Toys and gifts are needed for children ages 1-18 years old. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off Monday-Friday at the following locations in Sonoma through Dec. 11. You can also mail the toys to Infineon Raceway.
