SONOMA, Calif. – Jennifer Imbimbo has been promoted to Senior Manager of Media and Community Relations at Sonoma Raceway, raceway officials announced. With her increased role, Imbimbo will help oversee the planning and execution of all media relations events at the raceway, including the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and IndyCar® Series race weekends. She will also take on a larger role in developing and executing community events and fundraising activities for Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of the raceway. Imbimbo, 33, has been employed at Sonoma Raceway since 2006, serving as Manager of Media and Community Relations since 2008. “Jennifer is an integral member of our media relations department and raceway staff,” said Diana Brennan, senior director of media and community relations for Sonoma Raceway. “Her work-ethic, passion and integrity are to be admired, and I have no doubt she will excel in this new role.” Imbimbo completed her undergraduate work at UCLA and earned a master’s degree in sports sciences at the University of the Pacific. She is a native of Marin County and currently resides in Terra Linda.
