Parts Unlimited Ducati Austin’s Neil Hodgson may not ride in Sunday’s AMA Superbike race at California Speedway due to illness. Hodgson has been suffering flu-like symptoms all weekend and even vomited in his helmet during Saturday’s Superbike final, which he led before running wide in turn three and slipping back to third place on the last lap. “He is feeling much worse today,” said Ducati Corse Superbike Racing Director Paolo Ciabatti, when asked why the Englishman did not ride in Sunday morning’s Superbike warm-up. Hodgson’s participation in Sunday’s race is not certain, according to Ciabatti. Roadracingworld.com’s Chris Ulrich will not race Sunday after suffering a suspected torn labrum in his right shoulder while riding this weekend at California Speedway. Ulrich did not crash.
