Its rolling terrain and elevation changes make HPR one of the most exciting race tracks in the country. The story of how HPR came about is as unique as the track itself. It’s the only facility in the country conceived, financed, designed and built by a collection of amateur road racing clubs and their members. Participating clubs are the Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing (RMVR); the Colorado Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA); the Motorcycle Road racing Association (MRA); the Porsche Club of America, Rocky Mtn. Region (PCA-RMR); and the Multi-Car Club Alliance (MCCA). The Multi-Car Club Alliance itself is a collective of eight other car clubs. Directions: Sixty miles (One hour) west of I-25 and I-70. Go east on I-70 to the Byers exit. Left at bottom of ramp, onto Hwy #36, then seventeen miles to track on left.
