Hayden Gillim, Steve Rapp, Berto Wooldridge, Jessica Patterson, Charlie Mullins, Kenny Watson Advance, North Carolina (April 16, 2013) – Motorcycle industry celebrities and insiders from the motorcycle world give their uncut opinions and stories. Hayden Gillim, AMA Pro SuperSport – Team 95 Gillim came away from Daytona’s opening rounds with a 3rd and 11th after wrecking his A bike before the races got going. In 2012 he competed in the AMA Pro SuperSport East division and recorded two victories at Miller Motorsports Park and NOLA Motorsports Park. Had a monster year that consisted of him obtaining 19 tops 10s and 12 top 5s finishing 2nd in the standings. He also raced GNC Pro Singles and finished in the top 5 in his only two starts of the season. Gillim was the 2010 AMA Sports Horizon Award winner, raced in Red Bull AMA US Rookies Cup and MotoGP Rookies Cup. www.facebook.com/hayden.gillim Steve Rapp, Daytona 200 – GEICO Motorcycle Road Racing Since turning pro in 1996, Rapp has won races, on several different sizes of bikes, including the Daytona 200. Last year Steve finished 9th in the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Points on the Attack Performance ZX-10R and also raced in an AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR 1200 class. This year he didn’t secure a ride but when Dane Wesby crashed at the Daytona 200 Thursday practice, Steve landed a last minute ride for that weekend. Having been a 200 winner in the past and landing a podium in the Superbike class the previous year he was an obvious choice, Rapp delivered with a solid 6th place finish. www.teamhammer.com/ Berto Wooldridge, President – AFM American Federation of Motorcyclists Berto Wooldridge has been racing since an early teenager, switching from Jetskis Championships to road racing in 2002 and starting his first year with the AFM. He¹s raced consecutively for 10 years with the AFM, raced 4 seasons of AMA Supersport and Formula Extreme, won multiple class championships in the 600 cc classes and is a multiple top 10 number plate holder, of which is awarded based on championship points. In 2012, Berto was elected as the President of the AFM after serving 6 years consecutively on the board of directors. He is the only President in recollection to have won a class championship, races, and top 10 plate in one season while the active AFM President. Currently, he and the AFM board are working to better the AFM in the road racing world. www.afmracing.org Jessica Patterson, Womens Motocross Champion – NFAB TiLUBE Yamaha/Rockstar This year after the announcement of the shortened Women’s Pro Motocross series. JP set her sights on the GNCC as well. She came out swinging at the opening round with a big win in Florida and in Georgia she finished 3rd, and in North Carolina 3rd again. This weekend she will be racing in South Carolina and sits 3rd in points, just 2 behind the leader. Jessica plans to race a total of 10 GNCC rounds. She also will contest the Women’s Pro Motocross Triple Crown, Womens Motocross X-Games, and EnduroX Womens Class at X-Games (both in L.A.) https://www.facebook.com/JessicaPatterson250 Charlie Mullins, GNCC XC1 Racer – FMF KTM Team Mullins is having a great start to the 2013 Off Road season. He is currently leading the GNCC Series and the National Enduro Series. In the first three rounds of the GNCC Series he scored two wins and one second. The first four rounds of the National Enduro Series have been dominated by Mullins with three wins, the most recent at the Cajun National Enduro. Mullins was the 2011 GNCC Champion and finished 5th last year in the GNCC series. www.facebook.com/charlie.mullins.9?fref=ts Kenny Watson, Team Manager – Dodge/Sycuan/RCH Suzuki This is the 5th year for the Carey Hart owned team and Kenny has been a part of it every step of the way. They’ve partnered up with Ricky Carmichael and steadily ramped up their program including factory support from Suzuki. This year they have Broc Tickle and Josh Hill contesting the 450 Supercross class and Broc acting as their solo rider in the Outdoors.
