HMGP welcomes owners of historic, vintage, collectible or former factory race bikes, who would like to bring their bikes back out to show or to race on-track. The race format for all competition will be gentleman’s racing, in four classes and grouped largely by production era. Most of our riders are 40 plus representing a vast range of industries and influence and enjoy displaying and riding their classic motorcycles. Special hospitality is available to all participants at no cost during each event and is included with an HMGP membership. Interested parties who are owners of classic or vintage bikes, or those who own former AMA, World Superbike, MotoGP, WERA and CCS bikes are encouraged to join HMGP and show and/or race their vintage bikes at future events. All machines must meet certain criteria to qualify for race and show competitions. October 29-31, 2010 HMGP will feature a special event and vintage bike show in conjunction with HSR, sponsored by the City of Savannah at Hutchinson Island. Yamaha Motor Corp., USA continues as a proud regional sponsor of the HMGP. Yamaha recognizes HMGP’s value in showcasing its rich racing heritage and competitive racing spirit.
