Friday Featured Product: Rotor Guards and Rim Guards

Long-time racer Bob Robbins has utilized his professional experience in the packaging industry to develop some new products to help motorcycle road racers protect their brake rotors and wheels.

Robbins’ new Rotor Guards are discs made from molded, heat-resistant silicon rubber that are designed to fit snuggly over front brake rotors to protect them during off-bike transportation and storage and even during tire service. In fact, Robbins’ testing has shown that the Rotor Guards can be left in place throughout a tire mounting and balancing service without affecting the balance of the wheel once the Rotor Guards are removed. And with some trimming the Rotor Guards can stay in place during rotor swaps or be used on rotors on wheels that are mounted on motorcycles.

Rotor Guards are available front rotors in 310mm and 320mm sizes and are sold in pairs. Rotor Guards are also available individually in 220mm size for rear rotors.

All Rotor Guards come in black, but custom colors are available by special order. In addition, team, rider or sponsor names can be molded into the Rotor Guards for an extra charge via special order

Front Rotor Guards have a suggested retail price of $59.95 per pair, and the rear Rotor Guard is $24.95 each. Sets of a pair of front Rotor Guards plus a single rear Rotor Guard have a suggested retail package price of $79.95.

Robbins has also developed Rim Guards, thick molded silicon rubber bands designed to cover the edges of bare 17-inch motorcycle wheels to protect them during transportation. Rim Guards have a suggested retail price of $29.95 per pair.

In addition to being a racer and businessman, Robbins is also a long-time contributor to the Roadracing World Action Fund, having donated over $12,600 to the RWAF over the last several years. Robbins has pledged to donate $20 to the RWAF for each pair of Rotor Guards he sells up to the first 100 pair.
