Tapout Energy Wet4U Racing Kawasaki profile

Tapout Energy Wet4U Racing Kawasaki is pleased to present a profile on the team’s participation in the 2014 Australasian Supersport Championship, which commenced at Wakefield Park in New South Wales earlier this month.

The team, put together by Wet4U Race Fairings owner Paul Grant-Mitchell with former Australian and American national champion Aaron Gobert aboard a Kawasaki ZX-6R, will focus on the ASC series this season.

Gobert finished seventh at the season-opening round after a mixture of results, logging a 7-7-8 scorecard for Sunday’s trio of races. Earlier, Gobert raced to a solid fifth in the opening FX-Superbike Championship event of the year on Saturday.

“The weekend was positive overall and the team structure is good, so it’s just a matter of ironing out any last kinks and putting it together on race day,” Gobert commented. “Saturday at Wakefield was promising, but we experienced a few mishaps on Sunday that affected our overall result.

“Still, we’re happy to start the year off consistently and know that we will build strength from this point. I really have to thank the team, Tapout Energy, Wet4U and Kawasaki for helping us put together such a competitive and professional program.”
