Motorcycling has enriched my life with adventure, competition, and life long friendships that have spanned 40 years. I look forward to the next 40 with the same level of excitement. To achieve this, and live life to the fullest, we have to be fit. What I’ve discovered from racing injuries is that If you’re stuck chasing the symptom, you are only distancing yourself from the problem. After years of trying to mask chronic pain and headaches from my cervical spine injury at Laguna Seca, I finally found lasting relief doing deep tissue therapy with The Backmate. If you are looking to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, gain strength and improve your overall health, The Backmate is for you.

The Backmate is a gamechanger for those suffering from back pain, muscle tension, and headaches. It gives you the ability to self-massage the entire body while the muscles remain relaxed. I think we can keep people on bikes longer and later in their lives by riding out of pain rather than into it.

As a company, we aspire to create solutions that stimulate the natural healing process and provide relief for those suffering from back pain, tension headaches, stress and much more.

We launch on Kickstarter May 7th and will be offering The Backmate at $79 on the first day, and then $99 for the remainder of the month-long campaign. There is also a $1 dollar pledge level that tremendously helps out the campaign from a participation metric, giving people a way to offer support without footing the whole bill. My vision is a Public Service Announcement: Zombie or Human, warning those to make a choice between harming their bodies and altering their minds with medication or getting onto a path for lasting health with active recovery. Perhaps it’s simpler to say, the easiest way to relieve back pain.

Choices:

Do nothing and let muscle adhesions as scar tissue lead towards cellular death that slowly returns us to the fetal position as we age, ie. hunchback elderly.

Zombie or Human? Medicate: Let Tylenol change your mood and thought patterns and damage organs. Let Advil or Aspirin reduce or eliminate the inflammatory response mechanism, the critical building block of tissue repair along with hormone, organ problems and harming the immune system/microbiome. Use dangerous and addictive drugs such as opioids and, corticosteroids, muscle relaxers that devastate wellbeing and the natural healing process.

Risky surgery reducing mobility and circulation. 99 out of 100 spine surgeons said they would “absolutely not” have spine surgery if it were recommended to them. (All three often lead to depression in the case of chronic pain)

Choose active recovery and heal. With Backmate, you will think better and walk taller and do so with more energy. With just a few minutes a day, you can alleviate pain and establish a habit of preventative care and lasting health.
