Celebration for SERT and QERT in Qatar The 2010 Qtel FIM Endurance World Championship prize giving took place this Sunday afternoon in Doha, one day after the last race of the season on the Losail racetrack in Qatar, in presence of Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya, QMMF president and FIM vice-president. The 2010 world title and the FIM World Cup attributed to the Superstock class were decided on this very last round. By winning the 8 Hours race in Doha, the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team simultaneously obtained the 2010 Qtel FIM Endurance World Championship for the tenth time in the history of the official French team. With all participating teams in attendance praising the performance of Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, the Bolliger Team Switzerland (Kawasaki) was also warmly acclaimed for finishing second of the championship, after having been the championship leader since the second round of the season in Spain. In sixth place before coming in Doha, the 2009 Qtel FIM Endurance World Champion Yamaha Austria Racing Team managed to finish the season in third place after scoring a second position behind SERT at Doha. Qatar Endurance Racing Team (Suzuki) took for the third consecutive time the FIM Endurance World Cup reserved to the Superstock machines. Two new permanent teams took a spot on the 2010 podium in that class, with the French squad from Team Motor Events (Suzuki) outclassed the Spanish of team Andalucia BMW this season. All the teams who participated in Doha have been invited for a non-championship race test next weekend in Bahrain, as the 2011 Qtel FIM Endurance World Championship has a round planned in this country.
