“It’s Something Inside” will be a feature length cinematic documentary that explores the spirit and soul of motorcycle racing in the United States. The film team needs your help to make this film a reality.

Shofner Films uses a unique eye and a remarkable perspective to show everyone the beautiful, elegant, and bright world of road racing. They are creating a film to introduce a new audience to the exciting sport of road racing, as well as bring pride to the people that participate in the sport on a daily basis. From grassroots racing to the highest ranks in the United States, Shofner Films plans to explore and represent US motorcycle racing in a way it has not yet been seen.

We need the crowds at the races and viewership on TV to increase the popularity and public profile of one of the most exciting sports there is-motorcycle racing. This film is designed to inspire outside interest, as well as showcase the beauty and passion of this sport. Racing thrills everyone, and as with any sport, motorcycle racing achieves it greatness because we are the sum of all its parts–racers, race fans, sport bike riders, and performance enthusiasts.

To give back to this amazing sport, the film maker has partnered with the Red Flag Fund and the Roadracing World Action Fund. 80% of profit made from the film will be split between these two wonderful charities, each receiving 40%, to forward the progression of motorcycle racing safety in the United States. When you pledge to this film, you can be sure that no matter how much you pledge, these charities will see more through your combined actions.

The medium Shofner Films is using to fund this project is unique. It’s called Kickstarter, and it has funded thousands of projects across the world. You effectively pre-purchase a copy of the film, merchandise, and other intriguing perks to supply the funding for the film. No money is collected until the 30 day campaign closes on March 26th, 2014, regardless of pledge’s date. With many different “backer” packages to pick from, there is something for any budget. However, Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing funding platform. What that means: if the fundraising goal is not met, no money is collected at all. The film makers need your help to reach this goal. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.” This is also Shofner Films’ second Kickstarter project, having successfully funded and produced a go-kart documentary in 2012. On the Kickstarter page you can find a more in depth explanation of the project as well as links to many other projects that Shofner Films has completed.
