Dunlop Signs on with M1 PowerSports as Presenting Sponsor of 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown DENVER, Colo. (March 28, 2012) – Dunlop, the Official Tire of AMA Pro Racing, has signed on with M1 PowerSports as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown, three events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing schedule. The first round of the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown presented by Dunlop Tire, the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta, kicks off April 20-22, 2012 at Braselton, Ga.’s Road Atlanta. “Dunlop is a household name for motorcycle riders and a perfect fit for us as a partner for the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “The racing action that the fans have grown to know and love is thanks in large part to the high quality product that Dunlop provides the riders of AMA Pro Racing.” Dunlop has had a longstanding commitment to racing disciplines worldwide, drawing on a vast and ever-evolving body of design knowledge and hard-won experience to develop innovative motorcycle tire technology. The Official Tire of AMA Pro Racing since the 2009 season, Dunlop has also been a supporter of M1 PowerSports for many years. “As the official tire of AMA Pro Racing, we think it is critically important to support activities beyond tire sales to competitors,” said Mike Buckley, Vice President of Goodyear Dunlop Tire’s Motorcycle Division. “Investing in events is vital to the success of the series and enhances both the fan and competitor experience. We have a lot of experience with M1 and are big fans of their events so this was an easy decision for us.” Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta begin at just $20 and that event is just the first of three M1 PowerSports-promoted events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar which make up the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown.
