Kevin Schwantz, World Champion and Owner – Schwantz School As usual, Kevin Schwantz has been busy with preparing for his schools, working with the Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team and then there is his involvement with MotoGP. He has upcoming schools scheduled for April 19th and 20th, The Indy schools are back on for this year. Even though it is early in the season some of his schools later in the season are already sold out. During his career Schwantz amassed 25 Grand Prix wins, 21 lap records, 29 pole positions and the 1993 World Championship. www.schwantzschool.com Peter Doyle, Crew Chief – Rockstar Makita Suzuki Superbike Peter Doyle was Crew Chief for sevent-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin, and now is working with Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Blake Young. Doyle was with another motorcycle manufacturer in Australia for 24 years before he made the move to the U.S. He started in their parts department while he was still in his teens, and had graduated up to a motocross and World Grand Prix mechanic in the early 1980s. By the late 1980s and 1990s, Doyle was doing double duty as a road race team manager and motocross team manager. As a race team manager in Australia, Doyle racked up 11 road race championships, a Suzuka 8 Hour victory, nine motocross championships and four Supercross Masters titles. At the request of 2000 AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin, Doyle joined Yoshimura Suzuki for the 2001 season. Racing and winning at the top level of 125GP in the USA he’s already breaking track records and making history, dragging his elbow in the process. He was in horrible crash last year. Ten months have past and he has come back stronger than ever, winning 3 races, and finishing on the podium in two others this past weekend. Most recently they have added new member incentives. The new organization has become very proactive in keeping members informed about government initiatives that restrict the rights of motorcyclists. In addition, the AMA has made changes to their infrastructure so they can better handle future membership growth.
