Daytona Survives Second Hurricane In Three Weeks

Daytona International Speedway, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, survived Hurricane Frances with no significant damage to the 50-plus-year-old facility.

Frances was the second major hurricane the “World Center of Racing” has had to weather in the past three weeks. The first was Hurricane Charley.

According to a posting on its official website, www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com, the track’s ongoing major renovation project will not suffer any major delays due to the second storm and is still scheduled for completion in December.
