CMRA Racing At NOLA Motorsports Park This Coming Weekend

This coming weekend, June 14-16, 2013, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back in action for Round 5 of a 10 round series. NOLA Motorsports Park, a brand-new track for the CMRA is located in Avondale, Louisiana and will be the only stop for the CMRA this season at the 2.75 mile, clockwise 16-turn road course. Two unique feature of this track: a 3360 foot long front straight, and 40 to 50 feet of track width make this a very fast course. A full schedule for the weekend events can be viewed here: http://www.cmraracing.com/pdf/2013/Schedules/NOLA_JUNE_2013_SCHEDULE%20_2PG.pdf The weekend’s activities begin Friday with an all day CMRA racer practice and CMRA License school beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday includes the second round of the Island Racing Services Solo 30 races followed by the third round of the Big Bike Endurance series with a 6-Hour endurance race on the schedule. A meet and greet party gets going at the end of the day during the Trophy Presentation in the Winner’s Circle. Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. Texas Tornado Boot Camp E Superstock will also run on Sunday instead of Saturday for this event. We’re looking forward to another big turnout with riders and teams coming from all over the country! There is live timing and scoring available for all the races via the Race Monitor App on mobile devices and online at cmraracing.com/timing.html. Keep up with the action if you can’t make it out to the track! Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. We race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $20 on Thursday or Friday, $15 on Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on either Saturday or Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. Bring your cooler or visit the restaurant located in the NOLA Motorsport Park Event Center.
