Three-time AMA 250cc Grand Prix Champion Chuck Sorensen, 32, has no confirmed ride for the 2005 AMA Championship season, according to a press release issued Monday by the San Francisco, California-based racer.

In the release, Sorensen stated that he and former team owner Rocky Stargel could not continue with the privateer Superbike effort they undertook in 2004.

Sorensen entered six AMA Superbike races in 2004 on a Yamaha YZF-R1 with a best finish of 13th in race one at Road Atlanta.
