Continental Tires To Support Cretu And Huff For 2012 ASRA Team Challenge Series

Brandon Cretu and Dennie Huff will return to the ASRA Team Challenge circuit for 2012 under the team C&H Racing Powered By Continental Tires. 2011 marked a the team’s first foray into the Team Challenge series and the team brought home the #1 plate in the GT Lights class aboard their Buell XB12R, also aboard Continental Tires. For 2012 the team looks to step up their game and challenge for the title in the GTO class aboard a Honda CBR1000RR!

The team had the opportunity to test out the new liter bike at a trackday during the Fall of 2011 and both riders quickly came to grips with the bigger and much faster motorbike. Huff and Cretu also set personal best lap times at Summit Point that day and are very eager to start the season.

“The trackday in the Fall was a huge success. We tested out the Continental Race Attack slicks on our new, to us, Honda CBR1000RR and both ran our best pace ever around Summit. The Continental’s had grip all day long and we are really looking forward to showing everyone the amazing grip and longevity that their product offers. We can’t thank Continental enough for stepping up again this year to support our program and we look forward to putting it on the box for them this year!” says team rider Brandon Cretu.

Both natives of South Central Pennsylvania, Cretu and Huff formed the team, C&H Racing in 2011 as both of them liked the team atmosphere that comes with the endurance racing format. Both riders had plenty of endurance experience prior to them joining forces so it seemed the natural way to go for them. Cretu had been a Isle of Man TT competitor which involves riding stints of over an hour and Huff was a competitor in the AMA Moto-ST endurance series.

“I am really excited about this season. We know that we can run up front on our new CBR1000RR onboard Continental’s slicks. We have both been training hard in the off season riding supermoto and hitting the gym. The first round at Roebling cannot come soon enough!” says team rider Dennie Huff. The first round of the ASRA Team Challenge series starts up on March 10 at Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah, GA. Stop by the races and check out the team on their debut round in the GTO class!

In the meantime check out the team’s newly formed website, www.cretu-huffracing.com.

Cretu and Huff would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support, without them their 2012 efforts would not be possible.
