CCS Race Team Delivers Supplies To Hurricane Wilma Relief Effort

On Saturday, November 12, the MIVA Race Team delivered a truckload of supplies and food to the Gudalupe Center in Immokalee. The Center routinely assists the many needs of the area poor and migrant communities. Those needs were greatly exacerbated by Hurricane Wilma. We were met by the head of the center and a small group of volunteers who routinely spend 40-60 hours a week volunteering. We delivered 16 bags and 3 large boxes of clothing, dozens of boxes of food, 8 large boxes of diapers, two large boxes of baby food and kids toys. There were heart-felt thanks and hugs all around. $360 in cash and checks were sent to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Wilma Relief. Along the road we saw many blue tarped roofs and several buildings completely destroyed. If you haven’t been to Immokalee, Clewiston or Everglades City since the storm, you should. Many people who had little are now left with nothing. Special thanks to all of you who stopped by and contributed. Scott Robertson RobertsonRacing Racing. Charity.
