Carlo Fiorani Named Honda’s Motorcycle Racing Communications Director

HONDA APPOINTS NEW COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR TO SUPPORT HONDA RACING ACTIVITIES

TOKYO, Japan, March 16, 2016 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it will be appointing a new director, Mr Carlo Fiorani, to support Honda Racing activities trackside.

Fiorani, whose title will be ‘Motorcycle Racing Communications Director’, has previously held positions with Honda Motor Europe and its activities in MotoGP and Superbike racing. He will operate within the Motorcycle PR Department of Honda’s Corporate Communications Division.

The main function of the new role will be to maintain and improve Honda’s brand image, and Fiorani will initially be based within the MotoGP world championship. He will support the Honda teams competing in the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes and help with their communications with the media, sponsors and Honda’s divisions and affiliates.

As the popularity of motorsports racing activities continues to rise, Honda hopes this new role will help to increase the exposure of motorcycle sports within the global community of motorsports fans.
