California RoadRace Association brings club level racing back to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Salinas, CA – Club-level racing action is returning to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the first time in decades! On the weekend of June 25-26, 2022, California RoadRace Association will be hosting Round 2 of its series at the iconic circuit. There are race classes available for just about everyone: 400s, Twins, 600s, and 1000s. For most club racers, this will be their first opportunity to race down the legendary corkscrew.

The action starts Saturday, June 25th, with practice and qualifying sessions, and jumps into racing soon after. The day’s races include longer lap count GT races: 16 laps for 400 and Twins races; 20 laps for the 600 and 1000 GT races.

CRA has also arranged for a dinner on Saturday evening sponsored by Blood x Sweat x Tears Vodka, Motorsport Exotica, and Maria Cid Farmers Insurance Agency. Salinas City BBQ will be on site serving up some of their best dishes. Everyone WITH A WRISTBAND will be permitted to partake in the festivities. Wristbands for non-racers can be purchased at registration. CRA will also be hosting a karaoke contest during dinner with prizes awarded based on audience response.

Sunday features the normal CRA Schedule of eight-lap sprint races. Expert racers registered for the Riderzlaw Gold Cup (CRA’s 12-lap premier race) will get the opportunity to experience a “Pro-Start”:  A sighting lap, grid up with stands/warmers/umbrella girls, on-track interviews, pictures, warm-up lap and then the race. “We love having the Pro Starts. But get your pit crew ready for this as it is not a one-man job!” said Dustin Coyner, CRA Co-Founder.

Several of the core classes are already filling up, with 40 registered racers in multiple classes, including the Riderzlaw Gold Cup which currently has a waiting list.  “It’s really exciting to see a waiting list already for the stacked Gold Cup Race!” said Gigi Chow, CRA Co-Founder.
