Barber Vintage Festival Offers More Than Ever for Motorcycle Fans of All Ages Birmingham, Ala. (Aug 23) – With more to see and more to do this year, the 8th annual Barber Vintage Festival presented by Triumph Dealers of North America is already promising to be the biggest to date in its short history. The fastest growing celebration of vintagemotorcycles is scheduled for October 12 14, 2012 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. In addition to three full days of on- and off-track racing action provided by AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association), the Barber Vintage Festival offers more activities for the entire family: · Triumph motorcycle display · America’s First Federal Credit Union Fan Zone, featuring several motorcycle dealers, accessory vendors, concessions and more · World famous Barber Swap Meet · “Motorcycles by Moonlight”, a fundraiser benefiting the Barber Vintage Motorcycle Museum · Nick “Apex” Brocha and Ernie “EDub” Vigil Stunt Show · American Motor Drome Company’s “Wall of Death” Stunt Show · Victoria Stunt Show · Parade laps each day (available for additional purchase) · Race of the Century, featuring motorcycles made before 1913 · Aerostars airshow · Southern Vintage Fire Apparatus Association · Several club gatherings · Technical seminars, and more “It’s amazing how much this event has grown in such a short amount of time,” says Rick Humphrey of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive promoter and management team for the Barber Motorsports Park. “With such an enthusiastic fan base for vintage motorcycles, it’s a privilege for us to host an event that so many people are excited to attend. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones over the course of the weekend.” Daily tickets for the Barber Vintage Festival are available beginning at $20 in advance or $40 for the three-day weekend. All tickets include free paddock access and fans are encouraged to purchase in advance, as prices will increase the week of the event. Tent and motorhome camping is also available in limited quantities. Throughout the weekend, kids 12 and under receive free general admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets to the Museum are available separately from Barber Vintage Festival tickets and can be purchased inside. The 2.38 mile racing circuit is 45 feet wide, with 17 turns and elevation changes of more than 80 feet.
