Double 2008 TT Winner Cameron Donald signs for Wilson Craig Australian Cameron Donald, who won the Superbike and Superstock races at the 2008 TT, and has twice finished runner up in the Senior, has signed to race for Wilson Craig at the 2011 TT. The Australian left Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing last week by mutual consent, less than two weeks after penning a deal for next year, following this year’s Macau Grand Prix, where he finished in 8th place. Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing is yet to announce who will partner new signing Guy Martin for 2011. However, Donald has now been confirmed at Wilson Craig Racing, where Martin raced this year. The announcement was made at the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham on Monday, where the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Economic Development are promoting their plans for the 2011 TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy including the Mountain Course Centenary celebrations. The team confirmed Donald would ride at the TT, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix next year, as well as selected short circuit and national road race meetings. Wilson Craig, Team Boss of Wilson Craig Racing, commented: “I’m delighted to be able to secure Cameron as our rider for the 2011 International Series. He is a hugely talented rider who I’m sure will be very competitive in 2011 and we are determined to provide him with the best possible support.” Wilson has supported teams at the TT since 2005 and backed Uel Duncan’s team in 2006, which saw Cameron achieve a memorable runner-up place in that year’s Senior TT. He launched his own team, featuring Keith Amor, in 2008.
